Shaolin Monk Sets World Record For Running Over Water

Shaolin Monk Sets World Record For Running Over Water: Shi Liliang is a Shaolin monk who wanted to prove a lesson in concentration and trust. To do so he attempted and successfully completed a new world record by running over 125 meters of water. Liliang ran across thin, floating boards of plywood that were not heavy enough to support his whole weight.

After a few unsuccessful attempts, Liliang made it all the way across a reservoir in Quanzhou, China. He completed the 125-meter run in just 50 seconds. The lesson to be learned, as the monk himself said afterwards is: “People need to trust themselves. I failed five times, and I managed to run successfully.”
